Holy Angels School SCRIP/E-Scrip Program
Paper Scrip are gift certificates issued by many stores in our community where you already shop on a regular basis. Holy Angels is able to buy these certificates at a negotiated discount and resell them to you at full face value. The discount, which averages 5%, is the contribution retained by our school. For example: you want a gift card for $25 for Macy's. You Pay Holy Angels School $25 and receive a gift card worth $25. Holy Angels pays the Scrip company $23 for that card and keeps the $2 as profit. An oder form is sent home once a month in the Family Envelop. Order deadlines and delivery dates will be posted on the order form.Checks are made payable to Holy Angels School and are deposited on the order date. You may order Paper Scrip for your family and friends as well as yourself. Paper Scrips are actual certificates or cards to be used just like cash at your favorite store or restaurant.1 point is given for every $200 of Scrip purchased or spent on your E-scrip account. A running total will be kept during the year and turned in at the end of February when the points system ends.
E-Scrip, or electronic Scrip , allows you to register either credit or debit cards, your Macy's card or your Safeway Rewards Card with a company who tracks your purchases and sends these records and a check to the school on a quarterly basis. Applications are available in the school office. Earn 3 points by signing up for E-scrip. Go to www.escrip.com for more information or contact Mrs. Reich. Albertson's Community Partner cards are also available in the office. They send a check to the school on a regular basis but do not track purchases. Keep your receipts and send them to school for point totals.
At the present time, the use of Scrip is voluntary and is offered to parents as a means to earn points while raising funds for the school without selling anything. Many of our Catholic schools require Scrip usage as a mandatory fundraiser. This topic is under discussion for possible future implementation.
Thank you for your support in this fundraising endeavor. We hope you find this a convenient way to shop and also earn your points.
Contact Mrs. Laura Nordman or Mrs. Reich if you have any questions regarding Scrip.
