Thirteen girls from 6th, 7th, and 8th grades had artwork chosen to be part of the Fabulous Works of Art at Mercy Burlingame High School Art Contest.  From 6th grade: Jeanine Pilli, Brenda Gonzalez, Francesca Cu-Pyun, Vanessa Maniva; 7th grade: Leah Sangalang, Annabelle Regalado, Andrea Trujillo, Alison Balingit; 8th grade: Mia Fuerte, Andi Mercado, Jessica Lopez, Tiffany Long and Aizza-Rose Morales.  A student art show was held on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and awards and certificates were given to winners for their 2/D and 3/D artwork. 8th grade student, Andi Mercado won 1st place in the 2/D category with her detail drawing of Humming birds. Three students, Jeanine Pilli, Francesca Cu-Pyun and Vanessa Maniva, along with the Pilli family and Mr and Mrs. Cordano attented the event.

Winners of the Knights of Columbus 2015-16 Substance Abuse Poster Contest:  6th grade students: Malia Garcia -“Stop and Think Before You Take Drugs” and Devanie Milleza-“Think Before You Drink” and 8th grade students: Marissa Domagas- “Don’t Do It, Drugs Aren’t Worth the Thought” and Aidan Horgan-“Don’t be a Drinker, Be a Thinker”.   Sir Knight, Ted Cordano and Grand Knight, Dan Estrada presented certificates and awards.
