Last Saturday, October 24, twelve students competed at the first elementary speech tournament of the school year held at City College in San Francisco. Sixth grader, Sherin Jacobs placed first with her Expository speech about dance and seventh grader, Alana Balocating placed third in the category of Oratory speaking. Her topic was about family and friends. Many parents also attended in support. Our principal, Sr. Leonarda, coached the students. Sr. Nelia and Mrs. Cordano also attended and served as judges. Those participating: from 6 th grade- Jancrizto Ruidas, Maniva Vanessa, Jeannine Pili, Malia Garcia, Sherin Jacob; from 7 th grade-Ian Pantoja, Alana Balocating, Leah Sangalang, and Iea Jai Bansil; from 8 th grade: Lester Gutierrez, Tomiso Callejas and Melanny Abrego. Congratulations to our September Students of the Month
Kindergarten Kaden Ly Kaden has been doing his very best and is a good friend to his classmates. First Grade Carlos Ayon Carlos does his best and is a good role model for his classmates. Second Grade Jenna Bulanadi Jenna is very attentive in class. She is smart, cooperative and very helpful with her classmates. Third Grade Bianca Pantoja Bianca is a very sweet, kind, friendly and responsible student who is always focused on her work. Fourth Grade Joshua Aguilar Joshua is a welcome addition to our class. He is friendly, helps others and loves to participate. He knows it is important to work hard and complete assignments on time. He has begun the year with a great start. Fifth Grade Gabriel Elepano Gabriel is a dependable, well-behaved student and a conscientious worker. He is cooperative and friendly and gets along well with classmates. Sixth Grade Vanessa Maniva Vanessa is extremely responsible and well-behaved. She turns assignments in on time and can be counted on to greet teachers each morning with a big smile and positive attitude. Seventh Grade Abigail Devera Abigail is cooperative and focused and strives to do her best in class. Her work reflects her attention to detail. She gets along well with her peers. Eighth Grade Melanny Abrego Melanny has a great attitude and has been really trying her best. She is always very helpful. The Feast of the Holy Angels celebration begins with a Triduum Mass on Thursday, October 1st at 6:30 PM. Holy Angels School is in charge of this mass of healing and petition. Everyone is invited to attend. On Saturday, October 3rd, our Parish Fiesta takes place from 10 AM to 2PM in the school yard. Our students are ready to perform! Plan on coming to watch the entertainment. Enjoy good food and conversation with our school and parish community. |
