Michael G. - Grade 8
Michael consistently displays the Student Learning Expectation “Be Like Jesus” by always showing kindness and respect toward all his peers. He is a conscientious, hard-working student, who consistently submits all his assignments on time and with great quality. His daily task of putting up and taking down the flag is also done faithfully. It is wonderful having him part of our 8th grade class this year! Ezekiel S. - Grade 7 Ezekiel exemplifies the SLE Be Like Jesus. In the recent Lenten presentation of Stations of the Cross, he portrayed Jesus with seriousness and utmost respect. In doing so he proved to be a role model for fellow classmates and younger students alike. Along with the class, he helped provide a spiritual, reflective Lenten experience. Penelope P - Grade 6 Penelope has taken great strides in trying to Be Like Jesus. She is compassionate and caring to all. In addition, she has mastered her time-management skills in completing any school assignments during the day, and then is free to help others, including teachers when needed. Her effervescent personality makes her such a pleasure to have in the classroom. Destiny C - Grade 5 Destiny demonstrates the student learning expectation Be Like Jesus. She is friendly, considerate and helpful to her classmates. She also works hard on improving her effort, focusing on her studies and submitting her work on time. Keep it up, Destiny! We are so proud of you! Sara L - Grade 4 This caring and polite student demonstrates our SLE “Be Like Jesus” by making good choices and encouraging others to make good choices, too. She does her best to be a responsible class advocate looking out for others. She demonstrates good behavior when we attend Mass or when we say the daily Rosary, always responding and participating, and showing her love for Jesus. Dylan B - Grade 3 Dylan has been extremely helpful this month. As we started to ramp up our Chromebook usage in class, she has been a huge help in distributing and organizing the Chromebooks for her classmates. She does it without anyone asking and is eager to help. She’s helpful to her classmates in other ways as well - always offering a hand when another has questions about the lesson. Fiercely independent with a hunger to always learn more, as well as holding a desire to serve others, she’s a shining example of what it means to Be Like Jesus. So proud and grateful for you, Dylan! Jackson V - Grade 2 Jackson is a quiet worker. He’s focused and likes to get things done. He is a good listener. He demonstrates the Student Learning Expectation Be Like Jesus by exhibiting good behavior inside the classroom and towards his classmates. Pablo C - Grade 1 Pablo shows compassion to everyone he encounters. He is always willing to help others and he always comes to school prepared and ready to learn. He never gives up and is always willing to learn something new. Pablo is consistently displaying our student learning expectation Be Like Jesus and he goes above and beyond to help in any way he can. Zoey A - Kindergarten Zoey demonstrates the student learning expectation Be Like Jesus every day as she prays quietly and with sincerity. She is also kind and caring with her classmates. Zoey also has been trying very hard to complete her work with quality and to remain focused on her tasks throughout the day. Leia K. B. - Preschool Leia demonstrates the student learning expectation Be Like Jesus by displaying good behavior towards her classmates. She says “thank you” often upon receiving things. Leia is also completing a booklet project about Holy Week with quality coloring.

Ysabella G - Grade 8 Ysabella is always kind and welcoming, along with consistently using the magic words of “Please” and “Thank you.” She is well-respected by all her peers, and she is a positive role model for everyone. Jacob M - Grade 7 Jacob is consistently hardworking and focused in class. Always polite, kind, and helpful, he is well-respected by his classmates and younger students alike. He exemplifies the SLE of Be Responsible Citizens. J'Marcus E - Grade 6 Recently rejoined our school community, J'Marcus has stepped into our classroom with ease. He was invaluable as an aid a couple of weeks ago, helping get charged devices when needed, amongst other tasks. He truly demonstrated the Student Learning Expectation to “Be Responsible Citizens”. Welcome back to Holy Angels! Esther L - Grade 5 Regardless of how busy she is, Esther still has time to do something nice and volunteer to help around the classroom. She demonstrated the Student Learning Expectation of “Be Responsible Citizens”. Christian Jacob C - Grade 4 CJ's kindness, responsibility, and willingness to help other classmates and his teachers are all admirable qualities of a “Responsible Citizen” of Holy Angels School. He always tries to make a positive impact on those around him and in all of his everyday actions. Camila C - Grade 3 Camila has been shining throughout the entire second trimester! She’s always ready and committed to doing well in her studies, and she is always willing to lend a helpful hand to anyone who needs it. She is highly organized and helps other students to be organized as well. Keep shining, Camila! Thank you for being a responsible citizen in our classroom community. Aria S - Grade 2 Aria has a good attitude toward school and is always willing to help and treat others with respect. She demonstrates the Student Learning Expectation of “Be Responsible Citizens”. Aarav A - Grade 1 Aarav has made outstanding progress in all academic areas.He continues to demonstrate excellent citizenship qualities. He is polite, courteous and is always willing to help others. He takes his classroom jobs seriously and demonstrates responsibility when completing them. He also works hard and always gives his best effort. He does his best to follow all the rules, complete all of his school work with quality, and show kindness and respect for both his classmates and teachers. Caeden Anthony M - Preschool Caeden demonstrates seriousness in all seat work activities. He is a quiet worker with quality work and participates actively in asking and answering questions. Calixto (preschool) demonstrates the Student Learning Expectation of “Be Responsible Citizens” by trying his best to have quality work. He participates actively in class discussion. Calixto raises his hand and waits until the teachers recognize him, which demonstrates the qualities of a good citizen. Diego (kindergarten) demonstrates the Student Learning Expectation of “Be Responsible Citizens” by being a conscientious student so that he can reach mastery of skills he is learning. He participates often in class discussion, remembering to raise his hand. Diego often uses our four words “Stop, Think, Pray and Choose,” which demonstrate the qualities of a good citizen. Giselle (grade 1) is a kind and generous student who extends herself to help other students. She is always eager to learn and has excellent participation in class. She is very responsible and consistently puts forth her best effort to succeed academically. She demonstrates the Student Learning Expectation of “Be Responsible Citizens”. Alessandra (grade 2) is a very sweet and quiet girl. She is becoming one of our most dependable students in assuming responsibility for her behavior in class and on the playground. Aayan (grade 3) has been very consistent in completing his tasks as a student, and this growth has shown especially since the beginning of 2023. We are very proud of him! He is helpful and kind and is breaking out of his shell on top of all the improvements he’s made. Doing well in school and keeping friends is a great balancing act, and we are so happy to see how far he’s come. We can’t wait to see where he goes from here. Congratulations, Aayan! Jonathan (grade 4) shows respect and models responsible behavior in class and on the playground. He always tries his best and never gives up on his academic studies. He is always willing to help his teachers and classmates. He is a great student and a good friend. Divya (grade 5) is a very quiet, kind and respectful student with her classmates. She always works hard to the best of her ability and completes her work on time with good quality. Divya demonstrates the Student Learning Expectation of “Be Responsible Citizens”. Aiden (grade 6) has a strong grasp of his academic learnings and uses his school time well to complete his assignments in class. This leaves him time to pursue other interests, and also makes him available to run errands when necessary. He can be counted on to be respectful at all times, and is always ready with a greeting when he enters or leaves the classroom, or when seen outside. Santiago (grade 7) respectful, helpful and an all around dependable young man. He is eager to help an adult or classmate whenever possible. In extended care, he is kind and caring towards younger students and peers alike. Jeremiah (grade 8) is a kind, helpful, cooperative student, who has truly shown remarkable progress in his self-confidence, along with his participation in sharing his opinions, ideas and perspectives verbally during class. He is one of our class representatives and performed very well in the recent school spelling bee. The school wide spelling bee was held on Wednesday, January 18 in the parish hall. Spellers included students from grades 5 through 8. This year’s participants were Francheska Diokno, Genesisveer Brar, Aiden Restauro, Bayleigh Rodriguez, Isabella Fernandez, Santiago Gallo, Micah Arca, and Jeremiah Parangan. This year’s group of spellers was confident, focused and well prepared. Students were strategic in asking specific questions prior to spelling given words. As a result, the spelling bee lasted 26 exciting rounds!. Seventh grade student, Isabella Fernandez, was declared the winner with her spelling of the word “chemotherapy”. Congratulations to Isabella and all the spelling bee participants! PRESCHOOL - Jordan A
Jordan demonstrates the Student Learning Expectation of “Be Responsible Citizens” by following rules like: walking inside the building, picking up toys after play, reading books, or playing puzzles after snack time. He is trying to participate in asking and answering questions. He does seat work independently with quality. KINDERGARTEN - Gabriel M Gabriel demonstrates the Student Learning Expectation of Be Responsible Citizens by being a conscientious student so that he can reach mastery of the skills he is learning. Gabriel participates in class discussions and supports his classmates in their learning. Gabriel is helpful in the classroom and demonstrates the qualities of a good citizen. GRADE 1 - Avery C Avery is a cheerful, kind and caring student who demonstrates the Student Learning Expectation “ Be Responsible Citizens .” She is a talented student who also happens to be very shy about showing her drawing works. She is well mannered, quietly respectful, driven to do her best and sets a great example for other students. GRADE 2 - Austin C Austin is a quiet and respectful student who demonstrates the Student Learning Expectation “Be Responsible Citizens” by taking his work seriously and accepts academic challenges with eagerness that reflect on the quality of his work. GRADE 3 - Julianne T Julianne is phenomenal. There have been many times this school year where I have been blown away by her effort in and out of the classroom. From her amazing Saints Project, to her determination to understand all subjects, to sharing her musical talents with us all, and most importantly, to her grace when she or others make a mistake, she is the personification of Be Responsible Citizens. Continue to shine like the star you are, Julianne! GRADE 4 - Emma B Emma is a sweet and humble student who demonstrates the SLE, “Be Responsible Citizens," by following school rules and praying and thinking before she acts. She is also serious about her school work and cares about her classmates. She recently did a wonderful job modeling the qualities of a successful Holy Angels student during our Christmas Eve Children’s Mass by helping her brother and other students during the program. GRADE 5 - Genesisveer B Genesis works hard to complete her work on time, participates well in class discussion, always with positive attitudes, and gets along with her classmates. She demonstrates the Students Learning Expectation of “Be Responsible Citizens." GRADE 6 - Amelia V. Amelia follows directions and school rules, and asks for clarification when necessary. She is also careful when working, whether with a device or not, and keeps her work area neat. She can also be counted on to run an errand or go ask a teacher for something I may need. She really exemplifies Be(ing) a Responsible Citizen. GRADE 7 - Serene B This young person strives to Be a Responsible Citizen. In class, she is attentive and focused, and doesn’t hesitate to ask questions if needed. Her work is typically neat and complete. She strives to be an active class participant. She makes an effort to get along well with her peers. GRADE 8 - Francesca M Francesca does her very best at all times while completing her academic tasks and responsibilities with quality. She is a regular participant during class discussions, providing her insightful opinions to the topic at hand. She always has a “welcoming smile” while also greeting her teachers when she enters/leaves the classrooms. In addition, she says hello to other students while on campus, throughout the school day. Not only does she follow through as a “Responsible Citizen,” she is an excellent role model and good example, as our Student Body President, for the entire school community.
