These are qualities of a good and inspiring leader - the kind of leader Rilynne is growing into. Rilynne seems to have an understanding that the growth of each person in the class is connected, and so she inspires others to continue to put the best effort into everything they do for the benefit of the classroom community. Thank you, Rilynne for being an inspiring and kind leader!

Give In Full Trust

The school had its first school mass on September 8, 2022, sponsored by the faculty and staff. It was also the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Jerald Geronimo and Father Edgar Rodriguez celebrated the mass. It was wonderful to have Father Jerald back at Holy Angels. He was ordained as a priest in June. He was a student at Holy Angels from kindergarten to 8th grade and graduated in 2007. In his homily, Father Jerald talked about Mary as a GIFT, which is an acronym for Give In Full Trust. He said giving in full trust is what Mary did her whole life and we should all be like her. After the mass, Father Jerald visited the classrooms and talked to students about becoming a priest or entering religious life.

Students and teachers are excited to be back for a new school year! The first day of school started with parents joining students and the school staff for morning prayers and assembly.  The assembly ended with confetti party poppers set off by the school staff. Later during the day, there was a prayer service in the school yard led by Sister Olive, Mr. Calma (Class of 1993) and the eighth graders. It was a time for reflection and prayers for students, teachers and parents. At the end of the prayer service, art teacher, Mrs. Kim Cordano, along with the Knights of Columbus Grand Night, Mr. Ted Cordano (Class of 1961), presented art awards.
